A marathon dispute
20/10/08 22:20
It has been a bit of a roller coaster ride these past few weeks. Six times now have I applied to run the London Marathon and 6 times have been rejected. That is despite them saying that after 5 rejections one is entitled to an automatic entry.
I was furious after the last rejection letter, it seemed they were deliberately singling me out for discrimination. So armed with righteous indignation I phoned the organisers. They agreed that there had been 6 entries denied but just asked that I email another person. After another 2 weeks of no reply rang again to be asked had I not received a letter? Well no!
Finally a letter with another application form arrived and a very cheeky request for another entry fee. Rather than risk another rejection I paid up and posted off the letter. Let’s see what happens now.
